How the 220 Pannas Work

A panna is always written with its digits in ascending order, and 0 counts as 10, so it comes last: 1, 4 and 0 make 140, never 014. That rule leaves exactly 220 possible pannas:

• 120 single patti (SP) – three different digits, e.g. 128, 380, 579.
• 90 double patti (DP) – one digit repeated, e.g. 112, 550, 688.
• 10 triple patti (TP) – the same digit three times, e.g. 111, 000.

The ank of a panna is the last digit of its digit sum: 380 → 3 + 8 + 0 = 11 → ank 1. That is why each column above lists the 22 pannas that produce that ank. In a result such as 147-22-679, 147 gives the open ank 2 and 679 gives the close ank 2, making the jodi 22.

We check every result against this list before publishing it, so a mistyped panna such as 174 or 014 can never appear on the site.
